I’m Vansh, aka netmate.

This site exists because social platforms are temporary, algorithms are noisy, and I wanted one place that belongs to me. No feed deciding what gets seen. No character limit forcing a finding into a soundbite. Just the work, in full.

Most of what ends up here starts with curiosity. A camera gets opened, a flash chip gets dumped, a kernel gets rebuilt, a radio starts receiving something interesting, or I break something badly enough that I want to understand why.

I write the longer investigations as field reports. Smaller discoveries, commands, fixes and things I do not want to forget can live in notes.

Some writeups are polished after the work is done. Others keep the dead ends, failed attempts and assumptions that turned out to be wrong. I would rather document the actual process than pretend the answer was obvious from the beginning.

Open the box. Follow the evidence. Document what actually happens.
